The rooms were good sized, there was a very comfy bed. The bathroom was generous sized and it had a shower, a hairdryer, and bath sheets for my convenience. I found the hotel's location particularly good, close to eateries:)))

Loved it. Well priced place, had a pleasant stay in a wonderful town. The staff was efficient and amicable, as well as host. The location was unbeatable and stunning, approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Whale Watch Kaikoura.

The Kaikoura Gateway Motor Lodge is a reasonably clean place with lovely, friendly staff. the view over Kaikoura Bay is beautiful. It is centrally located, just a pleasant stroll away from Mayfair Theatre. it is close to town and within walking distance to shops.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definately return. The room was very clean and spacious. It was very modern and had a heatpump. There was also a pool and you could pay to use the spa and/or sauna. It was a 5 minute drive from the township. I didn't mind staying there as it is definately the best motel that close to town

Me and my partner absolutely enjoyed our stay!!! It was relaxing, quiet, clean, modern and the owners were very friendly would gladly stay here again over any other place in Kaikoura :)
